A 7 year dream comes True !!

November 24, 2011
Many people dont know this but I have had the dream of becoming Head Boy ever since grade 4, after going to Willowridge Ridge with a friend and seeing the head boy , (name I can not remember) I decided I wanted to be that guy ! , Leading a school.
Well after three high schools , Hillcrest High School was my final stop. Being new I still decided to give it a go, reasons being Hillcrest has a vibe to it that is indescribably , the very first day I walked onto the school grounds I felt welcome, and because of that I said It would be a honor to run for Head Boy. Another reason being is I found out in the last few years that my family started the Hillcrest,Gillitts area The Halsted Family (My Moms Side) married into the Gillitts Family and the Estate was left to the Halsted Family, So I though What A honor it would be to become Head Boy on my family grounds.

So on the 12th of November I was announced Head Boy for 2012 , which is and has been a great honor so far , as I work with an Amazing Prefect body and great teacher basis.
I am looking forward to 2012 and to chance to live out my dream.

So the day arrived, it was time to Time Trial! , Feeling confident I entered the starting ramp. TT helmet hugging my back, Skin Suit Tight an...

2011 Road Race Report

Road

Lassen Series:

This year Marked my first year in road racing with only a few races under my belt it has been enough to change my view on cycling. The KZN Lassen road series is a circuit event, with 7 gruelling laps each 10 or so Kilometres. Racing against the elites and KZN’s top junior rides has been an eye opener to speed.

My first race I didn't place due to registration problems, which was no stress, as I used it as a indicator to see where I should be working towards. Stage 9 ...

National #1 Cascades

May 24, 2011
What must be the most roughest conditions i have raced in, turned out to be a very interesting day ! The week leading up the the first national race at Cascades was a wet one , with rain pouring down nearly every day.

On race day , conditions turned dirty with the rain starting to come down. The track was slippery to the extent turning a corner at speed meant crashing ! , so with a combination of running and sliding sideways on the bike, the race was a bit of a gamble with conditions. After fa...
